Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data The Lounge Collective collects through this website and when you hire from us, why we collect it, and your rights under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
Last updated: 21st October 2026
Who we are
The Lounge Collective Limited ("we", "us") hires and styles lounge furniture for events. We are based on Academy Road, Karen, Nairobi, Kenya. For anything about your data, email welcome@loungecollective.com.
What we collect
- Enquiries. When you send an enquiry we receive your name, company or planner name, email address, phone number, event date, guest count, venue and anything you tell us about your event, along with the pieces you added to your enquiry.
- Bookings. If you hire from us we keep the details we need to quote, deliver, style, collect and invoice: contact details, event and delivery details, and payment records.
- Messages. Emails and social media messages you send us.
- Your enquiry basket. The pieces you add are stored in your own browser so the basket stays filled as you move between pages. It is not sent to us until you submit the form.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal and quote.
- To deliver the service you book, including delivery, styling, collection and invoicing.
- To keep the records we must keep for tax and accounting.
We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Who helps us run this
We use a few service providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare, which hosts this website; FormSubmit, which delivers the enquiry form to our inbox; and Google Workspace for our email. If we add website analytics or advertising tools (such as Google Analytics or the Meta pixel), we will update this policy and describe them here before they go live.
Some of these providers store data outside Kenya. Where that happens we rely on their published safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept for up to 24 months, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Booking and invoice records are kept for as long as Kenyan tax law requires, currently at least five years.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. Email welcome@loungecollective.com and we will reply within 14 days. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke).
Changes
We will update this page if anything changes, and the date at the top will show the latest version.
